About Us

I'm Joel, the proud owner of Duralive Decking.

After losing interest in my first career as a carpenter, I began to focus on the design side of construction. From there, I went on to make a successful career change and spent 6 years designing and managing large construction projects. I realised then that neither my current, nor previous job role were right, but in fact, what I needed to do was a hybrid of the two. And this is how Duralive Decking was born.

Duralive now uses design principles and software hacks, usually associated with large scale construction projects, and implements them into low maintenance, domestic garden designs. Thanks to our unique approach to garden and decking design, I have since gone on to work alongside one of the UK's most prestigious garden design and landscape companies to deliver some truly amazing projects.

We use high quality composite decking, porcelain and artificial grass products and incorporate them in innovative ways to ensure our customers always get the most from their outdoor space. Our home has needed a lot of work over the years and we've dealt with a lot of tradespeople in that time, but Joel and his team were among the very best, absolutely faultless. They were brilliant from start to finish. We wanted composite decking and Joel talked us through the options. He kept us informed of start dates and progress, was always on hand if we needed to get in touch to clarify anything. They worked expertly and did an outstanding job, highly professional, punctual, and very pleasant team. A really great, positive experience with Joel, we are very pleased with the work he carried out on our back garden and has transformed it into a space me and my family can use and enjoy for years to come. I recently moved into a new build house which comes with its own stresses without having to think about the garden. I also had the birthday of my 3 year old in a months time that we really wanted to have a completed garden to have a kids party in. Duralive Decking made that happen even with my unrealistic time frame and also to a fantastic quality. Joel at Duralive Decking completely transformed my back yard.
